Professor awarded SSHRC Partnership Engage Grant

Professor Michael Nesbitt is part of a six-member team that won the grant.

SSHRC’s Partnership Engage Grants provide short-term and timely support for partnered research activities that will inform decision making at a partner organization from the public, private or not-for-profit sector.

Along with Thomas Juneau (University of Ottawa), Amarnath Amarasingam (Queen's University), Stephanie Carvin (Carleton University), Jessica Davis (Carleton University) and Leah West (Carlton University), the team will analyze the impact of COVID-19 on Canada's National Security and Intelligence Community (NSIC) and lead to a published volume on the topic, as well as distributed work to policymakers and analysts across the government.

The team has partnered with the Privy Council Office, Intelligence Assessment Secretariat on the research, which received more than $19,000 for the project.
