Professor and alumnus published in Canadian Journal of Human Rights
Professor Jonnette Watson Hamilton and Joshua Sealy-Harrington argue that colour plays a role in human rights and equality law.
Professor Jonnette Watson Hamilton and alumnus Joshua Sealy-Harrington, JD’13, have published a peer-reviewed article on “Colour as a Discrete Ground of Discrimination” in (2018) 7:1 Canadian Journal of Human Rights 1-33. They argue that colour does and should play a discrete role in human rights and equality law because it highlights certain hierarchies and forms of marginalization that are not addressed by the ground of race.
