Former faculty member recognized for outstanding contributions to the study of gerontology

Dr. Sandra Hirst received the Canadian Association on Gerontology Contributions to Gerontology Award this month

Congratulations to former associate professor Dr. Sandra Hirst who received the Canadian Association on Gerontology (CAG), Contributions to Gerontology Award this month at their 48th annual Scientific and Educational Meeting in Moncton.

This adds to the many significant awards Hirst has received over the course of her career, including the Canadian Nurses Association Jeanne Mance Award (2012) for significant and innovative contributions to the health of Canadians.

CAG is Canada's premier multidisciplinary association for those who research, work and have an interest in the field of aging.
