Congraulations to the CIH Fellowship Recipients for 2023-24

The Calgary Institute for the Humanities (CIH) is delighted to introduce the results of the Resident Fellowship Competition for 2023-24. CIH Fellows are given partial teaching release, an office in the CIH, and the opportunity to engage with a highly accomplished, multidisciplinary community of scholars over the course of the year.

This year’s cohort includes six fellows in all, including two resident fellows, the McCready Emerging Fellow, the Naomi Lacey Fellow, the Applied Ethics Fellow, and the Frances Spratt Graduate Fellow. These outstanding scholars come from across the Faculty of Arts, pursuing projects in religious studies, medieval history, Islamic studies, Philosophy, and German literature and culture.  We are especially pleased to welcome graduate student Anastasiia Guschchina, who is completing her doctoral dissertation on animated documentary films.

We would like to extend a warm welcome to next year's fellows and express our gratitude to the Faculty of Arts and to our donors who make these fellowships possible:
