University re-entry planning underway

A message to the campus community

Significant work is being done behind the scenes to prepare a phased re-entry strategy for our campuses. The unique requirements related to our faculties, programs, and facilities are being taken into consideration and the work is ongoing. We take direction from public health authorities but we will go further, if necessary, when it is in the interests of our university community. We understand the desire to return to regular research, scholarship, and creative activities, but it is important that we continue to practice patience and caution.

Students, faculty and staff should continue to operate under the current public health guidelines until our re-entry protocols are finalized. At this time, university buildings will remain secure. Spring and summer courses will continue to be delivered remotely and online. Information regarding the university’s summer camp programs will be available early next week.

As President McCauley shared on May 14, we ask for your patience as we do the necessary planning and develop answers to specific questions. We will post updates to the COVID-19 Response page. For important information about research operations, check the COVID-19 Guidance for Researchers page.
