UCalgary’s new academic calendar system will roll out for official use beginning March 14.

After 22 months of hard work and much anticipation, the Office of the Registrar is excited to announce the launch of UCalgary’s brand-new academic calendar system.

Say hello to calendar.ucalgary.ca, a new system offering a modern academic calendar navigation experience, an accessible digital platform, mobile-friendly functionality, and improved search capabilities.

The calendar system will vastly improve how the university community navigates through academic dates, tuition details, new courses, new programs, and academic policies for the upcoming 2024–2025 academic year. The new system has been running in a prototype form since December 2023.

Happy retirement

Enjoy your retirement, CatNav! The CatNav software was used by the University of Calgary for 15 years to manage its academic calendar.

As the university community welcomes a new system, we also say a fond goodbye to another. On March 14, the university bids farewell to the old CatNav software, which served the university for 15 years. It became imperative to replace the CatNav software as it was no longer being supported and did not meet modern web standards.

A huge thank you to university community from Office of the Registrar

A round of applause and a shoutout to our incredible university community for your support throughout the project. Your contributions through thoughtful feedback and direct participation have been instrumental in making this project a success. Together, you helped shape a more responsive digital experience that will positively impact the student experience at UCalgary for the foreseeable future.

So, update those bookmarks, share the news, and embark on an era of navigating academic regulations like never before!
