Following a substantive tuition fee engagement process with students, and with a focus on maintaining affordability and accessibility to high quality education, the Board of Governors has approved UCalgary’s tuition and fees for 2026/2027.

Tuition for domestic students will increase by two per cent, while international student tuition increases by four per cent. The Board kept thesis-based tuition to current levels, with no increase.

“Meaningful engagement and constructive dialogue with students helped us weigh student concerns alongside the budget challenges of a growing university, and provided valuable insight into their ideas and priorities. We believe the outcome is fair and balanced,” said Dr. Sandra Davidson, PhD., Provost and Vice-President (Academic) of the University of Calgary.
