A statement from Ian Holloway, dean of UCalgary Law
We all can, and must, do better.
The Faculty of Law at the University of Calgary shares in the condemnation of all forms of racism.
The events unfolding in the United States, as well as the anniversary of the report of the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls Inquiry, remind every one of us in the legal profession - lawyer, law professor and law student alike - that we have an obligation to do everything we can to stand against the kinds of values that allow racism and discrimination to flourish. Racism is not an American problem. It is a human problem, and we all can, and must, do better.
