Statement from the Head

We have all been watching protestors in the US pushed beyond endurance by systematic racism. Canada is not racism free, and BIPOC students and staff will have experienced racism on our campus and in our community. Every single such incident is unacceptable. We stand with every member of the UCalgary community, and we mourn the loss of Black, Indigenous, and brown lives to police violence everywhere it occurs.
