Professor to present at Brazilian conference
Professor Michael Ilg is at the 9th annual Land and Development Institute conference in Brazil today to present his paper "Freedom from Development."
The conference is co-hosted by The Law and Development Institute, Humboldt University Faculty of Law, and Walter de Gruyter GmbH, and this year's event is commemorating the tenth anniversary of Law and Development Review (LDR), currently the only peer-reviewed academic journal in existence devoted to law and development studies. Sixteen leading scholars from North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America present papers on key topics in law and development including the current status of law and development scholarship, the General Theory of Law and Development and its applications, enhancement and protection of economic and social interests, and development governance and the role of development agencies in the development process.
