PILC presents final arguments against oil sands project

The Public Interest Law Clinic appeared on behalf of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society.

On December 11 the Public Interest Law Clinic appeared on behalf of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) to give final argument to the Joint EA Review Panel which is considering the environmental impacts of the proposed Teck Frontier oil sands mine under the authority of provincial and federal legislation. CPAWS argues the mine will have significant adverse impacts on Wood Buffalo National Park and the endangered population of Whooping Cranes which migrate to and from the Park each year.
