The Perpetual Pivot

Establish a sense of normal in your leadership development plan

As we reach the mid point of 2021, the need for leaders to demonstrate agility, change, and navigate through uncertainty continues to be at the forefront.  For some, challenges in our environment has created positive opportunities to leverage and for others, there is continued disappointment of unmet plans or goals. One of the buzz words for 2021, continues to be Pivot. The ability to adapt a strategy or process without a change in vision and to accomplish the same goal, differentiates a resilient leader.

One of the positive elements of Covid-19 was the opportunity for Haskayne Executive Education to pivot the design of our Strategic Leadership Development Program (SLDP). Not only was the design reframed to suit our present virtual learning environment, the content was reinforced to equip leaders with a blend of academic and pragmatic tools to perpetually pivot through our ever-challenging landscape successfully.  A critical success measure of the Strategic Leadership Development Program is ensuring that what is learned is applied to real, relevant, and timely business issues and opportunities. 

This program has been thoughtfully designed to help learners become a more effective leader, strategic thinker, and agent of change within their organization. It will appeal to both experienced managers and high potential leaders from across all levels of the organization, including those who are working towards a more senior position, who are being asked to take on enhanced leadership responsibilities, or who are developing into a role that requires a more strategic outlook.

Through this evolution in design, we have observed a powerful transition in the learning approach within in our virtual classroom.  Content has been elevated for the senior leader, however, the overall delivery and program support remains consistent to ensure all learners truly receive an executive experience.

During this pivot in program design, learners of our first online cohort have highlighted the following program elements as being most valuable to their learning experience:
