Arthritis Society supports UCalgary research projects to advance arthritis research

McCaig members Dr. Marinka Twilt, Dr. Roman Krawetz and Nathan Neeteson receive funding from the Arthritis Society to help advance arthritis research

Congratulations to McCaig members, Dr. Marinka Twilt, Dr. Roman Krawetz and Nathan Neeteson on their 2021 Arthritis Society Funding Success!

Strategic Operating Grants:

Dr. Krawetz and Dr. Twilt are two of the 14 recipients nationwide to be awarded an Arthritis Society Strategic Operating Grant in the 2021 competition.

Dr. Roman Krawetz was awarded a Strategic Operating Grant for his project: "Creating the right microenvironment: Inhibiting mass cell derived tryptase proteolysis of PRG4/Lubricin."

Dr. Marinka Twilt was awarded a Strategic Operating Grant for her project:  “Three-dimensional facial imaging compared to MRI for JIA associated TMJ arthritis: Identifying easier access and a more patient-friendly method.”

PhD Salary Award:

Nathan Neeteson was awarded a PhD Salary Award for his project: “Longitudinal study of bone and cartilage changes following acute ACL injury.”
