Leadership transition at W21C: Thank you to Dr. Mary Brindle

The O’Brien Institute for Public Health is announcing a leadership transition at W21C.

Dr. Mary Brindle’s appointment as academic director of W21C will conclude on July 31, 2026. We extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Brindle for her leadership and contributions to W21C and the broader O’Brien Institute community during her time in the role.

Dr. Brindle will remain involved with W21C, continuing to lead W21C’s Health Everywhere Hub and Living Lab Initiative.

As W21C moves outside of the O’Brien Institute and strengthens its partnership with the Centre for Health Informatics (CHI), Dr. Tyler Williamson will assume academic leadership of W21C. He will serve as director of both CHI and W21C.

We thank Dr. Brindle for her leadership and wish her continued success in her work with W21C.
