Unlock the benefits of inclusion and reap its business benefits

Diversity and Inclusion continues to be a strong focus area and topic of discussion for organizations. Research consistently supports the strong organizational benefits from having diverse talent representation and inclusive work environments.  Organizations with gender, cultural, and racial diversity as part of their senior leadership team increase the likelihood of above-average profitability by 25 percent in comparison to those that are less diverse1. Those organizations that communicate and visibly embrace diversity and foster inclusion will unlock sustaining competitive advantage while forming authentically positive work environments.

When leaders have the knowledge and tools to drive inclusion, they gain the benefits of diversity and reap its business paybacks. Senior leaders know the importance and would like to shift, however, often our clients ask us - where do we start? And if we have started, how do we continue? In fact, studies are indicating that while employees see improvement in the hiring of diverse talent, there remains significant opportunity in creating a work experience that is in fact inclusive where talent is empowered, supported, and retained1.

At Haskayne Executive Education, we have established two different streams to promote inclusive behaviours both at the individual and organizational level that further develop one’s thinking and how they engage others in support of fostering an engaged and accepting culture.  We are pleased to offer a new program in partnership with The Humphrey Group, called the Inclusive Leader. This offering is intended to provide leaders and individual contributors with a deeper understanding of what being inclusive means combined with proven practical tools to support them in creating an inclusive space in all environments.  The Inclusive Leader inspires learners to drive their own development in this this area as well as proactively seek ways to continue integrating these behaviours as part of their individual leadership development journey.

For organizations seeking a broader solution to drive a long-lasting inclusive culture, Executive Education can design customized options to achieve desired results. There are a variety of solutions that we co-create with organizations to drive impact and shifts in inclusive behaviour. We have partnered with organizations to develop solutions and achieve proven results by:

  • Facilitating deep and inclusive conversation surrounding ‘real life’ challenges personal to the organization and guiding next step considerations
  • Equipping leaders with tools and structure to effectively connect with their teams in a way that all individuals feel safe, seen, heard, and understood
  • Strengthening leadership accountability and capabilities for Inclusion & Diversity beyond the HR function or employee resource-group leaders
  • Integrating inclusive leadership competencies as the ‘how’ in part of broader leadership development custom programming

Whether you choose to develop yourself personally in the Inclusive Leader program or would like to explore customized options available for your organization, our Executive Education team would be delighted to connect with you.
