You’ve narrowed your choices down to a few top majors/programs, but now what? How do you go about deciding between them to find the one that’s the best fit for you?

By becoming more systematic about how you evaluate your choices and by learning more about your decision-making style, you can feel a lot more confident when making your ultimate program choice.

The third main stage of the Major Exploration Process is Evaluate and Decide. In this stage, you will be introduced to activities that will help support you in evaluating your top program choices and ultimately deciding on the program that is the best fit for you.

  • Evaluate of choices: Consider what you’ve learned about your top majors/programs. Score and rank them to help you decide.
  • Decide: Choose a top major/program and a backup one and reflect on those decisions. Outline your next steps!
