Haskayne Guided Path System™ (GPS)

Understanding your strengths, weaknesses and career choices

How amazing would it be if you were able to understand more clearly your strengths, weaknesses and career choices that might be the best fit for you? The Haskayne Guided Path System™ (GPS) is accessible to any Haskayne undergraduate and provides some of these answers!

A series of self-assessments guides you to recommended resources for your development, and to start your very own leadership success plan! All it takes is a couple of clicks in D2L and a willingness to develop yourself.

Some students find the procrastination assessment enlightening! If procrastination is your pain join the SAENT project to reduce its negative impact on your life (registration).

The H.GPS™ process is simple to follow. Use research-based self-assessments to gain feedback about your strengths and areas of improvement, take charge of your development by connecting to resources and work at your own pace. Connecting to different initiatives around campus can help you grow as a leader. The key to getting the most from your experiences is following the guided reflection in your Leadership Success Plan!

Being a successful student in the Haskayne School of Business means more than simply going to class and going home. To gain the most benefit from your degree, set one or two development goals and engage in diverse types of opportunities to do more than your in-class learning; this is where the Haskayne GPS™ comes into play, as it is connecting students to a variety of opportunities to freely choose to pursue, “The thing about the Haskayne GPS™ is that its a continuous process; so even when I achieve goals I continue to re-establish goals and my path goes on,” says Celina Pablo, a third year accounting student at the Haskayne School of Business.

The Haskayne Guided Path System (H.GPS)™ is an open opportunity for any Haskayne undergraduate looking to pursue their own leadership development. What are you waiting for? Start your own leadership success plan today.
