Grace Auger, LLB’95, celebrated as one of UCalgary’s most aspiring alumni
Grace to receive the Career Achievement Award, which recognizes a graduate whose leadership and accomplishments have had a positive impact in their field and whose innovation has made significant contributions to their community.
UCalgary Law alumna Grace Auger, LLB'95 is being celebrated as one of UCalgary's most aspiring alumni for all that she has accomplished during her legal career. A former crown prosecutor, now a lawyer with Legal Aid Alberta, Grace has had a positive impact on the legal profession and in her community.
“Having a full-time lawyer placed at Siksika helps build that trust so that clients won’t have to repeat their stories to somebody new who may come along,” she explains. “That is really why I went into law — to give Indigenous people a voice and to build bridges.”
