Colleen Jacobsen appointed senior director, Cumming School of Medicine

The Cumming School of Medicine (CSM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Colleen Jacobsen, BComm’00, CPA, as the faculty’s new senior director. The appointment takes effect Dec. 8, 2025, with Colleen taking over the role from Rose Yu.

Rose left the position on Nov. 7 to pursue an exciting opportunity in Canmore. With CSM since Jan. 2019, we thank her for nearly seven years of service and wish her the best.

Colleen has more than 20 years experience in a range of finance roles, including budgeting, forecasting and reporting. She has been with the University of Calgary in various and progressively more senior roles within Finance Services since 2013, including almost five years within the CSM. Most recently she was associate director, Finance Services, overseeing the budget and forecast processes for the Finance Services team, administering the budgeting system and working with senior leaders and finance partners on financial strategy.

Colleen has a strong track record of developing and growing collaborative teams, streamlining processes and delivering finance solutions that help enable organizational success. Please join me in congratulating Colleen on her appointment to the CSM’s senior leadership team.
