Co-authored Paper named as one of the top-ranked Kanter Award articles for 2026

Pallavi Banerjee and Carieta Thomas’s 2025 paper published in Gender Work and Organizations was selected as a nominee for the Rosabeth Moss Kanter Award for Excellence in Work-Family Research. This selection recognizes the paper as one of the top-ranked Kanter Award articles for 2026.

The article "The Migrant Care Work Regime and the Making of the Constant- Care Worker Among Indian Immigrant Nurses,”  co-authored by Dr. Pallavi Banerjee and recent PhD alumni of the Sociology Department, Dr. Carieta Thomas, published in 2025 in Gender Work and Organization, was recognized as one of the top-ranked Kanter Award articles for 2026.  The Kanter Award is given with the sponsorship of the Corporate Partners of the Boston College Center for Work & Family, which for 35 years was a network of work-life and human resources practitioners from leading organizations. The Kanter Award strives to bridge academic research with corporate practice.
