2019 UCalgaryStong Festival

Celebrate the end of classes at the UCalgaryStrong Festival

Enjoy free food, entertainment and a social atmosphere at this year's outdoor event. Join students and the community on the TFDL Quad on April 12 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Students, have you ever heard of the 52/17 rule? It’s a time management method that says that people are most productive when they spend 52 minutes focusing on a single task (like exam prep) and 17 minutes spent recharging and relaxing.

On April 12, many students will spend their 52 minutes of focus time in the Taylor Family Digital Library, and if they stick to the rule, could enjoy their 17 minutes of relaxation time eating ice cream, playing games and hanging with their friends on the TFDL quad at the UCalgaryStrong Festival.

For the first time since 2019, the Festival event is happening in-person during the last day of classes. Students and community members are encouraged to drop by between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. for an afternoon of fun, connection with friends and the kind of social atmosphere that we’ve all been missing over the last two years.
