What CCAL programs have you participated in?

I participated in the Haskayne Professional Mentorship Program which provided an excellent opportunity to learn from a professional in my field of interest and accelerate my personal development. This opportunity has sparked my interest to experience some of the other programs that CCAL offers, such as the Lunch with Leaders and Student Action Volunteer Initiative (SAVI).

How did your experience with the Haskayne Professional Mentorship Program help your professional development?

The experience with the Haskayne Professional Mentorship Program has fostered immense personal growth and provided me with a sense of direction in terms of both personal and career goals. Having a mentor was an invaluable experience as I learned from his anecdotes and life experiences.

My mentor also played an integral role in the planning of my short and long-term goals, in preparing for interviews and providing insight into my class selection. The program was an amazing experience to gain insight from a successful professional and ultimately set the stage for success in my own future career.

Would you recommend the Haskayne Professional Mentorship Program to your fellow Haskayne students?

I would, without a doubt, recommend the Haskayne Professional Mentorship Program to my peers. This has been one of the most valuable experiences that I have participated in and has had a very positive impact on my life. The skills gained through participation in this program have laid the foundation for a successful transition into the workforce.
